For all busy women out there who can't afford to visit their stylist as often as they want, here are some tips I want to share with you:
1. Know your hair type by asking your stylist. Since there are different hair types -- coarse, fine, thick, oily or dry it is always best to use the right salon product for your hair. Why salon product for a shampoo or conditioner? Most of the salon products are of real quality, with more vitamins and proteins that your hair needs to keep it healthy. Commercial brands have these nutrients too but of limited quantity because as the name implies, they are commercially made to supply the general market. And since you don't have the luxury of time to visit your stylist to have the treatment, you can use professional products like serum, mask and a volumizer blow dry spray to help prevent hair dryness.
2. For color treated hair, a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner salon product is best to keep the treatment last for a month. Deep conditioning is also good to keep the hair hydrated and so preventing damage to the hair's texture.
3. For women who do not want to blow dry their hair especially those with curly hair or low maintenance hairstyles, air drying is for you. Bear in mind that your hair is the most vulnerable to breaking and tearing when it is wet. A wide teeth brush to comb out wet hair is your best tool. Do not rub your hair with a towel. The rubbing removes the nutrients from your hair leaving it brittle and prone to damage like split ends. Instead of rubbing, blot the moisture out with towel and detangle the hair using your fingertips while the hair do the rest.
